The End Of Days

These prophets of doom go beyond the run-of-the-mill millenarian survivalists in that they believe the key is not stockpiling guns, food and water, but repentance. They are spreading their message in books, in sermons and on the Internet. Their predictions of doom are sparking a backlash from other evangelicals. I found little use for apocalyptic thinking after I left the church.
For their survival, Israel must respond instantly either by immediate retaliation or by using the “first strike option” just as Moshe Dayan found it necessary to do at the start of the Six Day War. I sense that there is an urgency in our world climate today that has never existed before. We are surrounded by teachings and influences that are driven straight from the bowels of hell and delivered throughout our communities and directly into our homes. As children of Jehovah God, there will never be a time when we will not exist. Our last breath on this earth is our first breath in heaven, where we will live for all of eternity worshiping and praising our Savior. Clairvoyance has been a valued skill in divination, prophecy, and magic since ancient times.

The figure of speech expresses a particular kind of heart. If you think about it, what does it really mean to pray that someone’s child would be covered with the blood of Jesus. Sometimes we’re uncomfortable with these figures of speech, but if we recognize the heart behind the figure of speech, I don’t have much of a problem with it. I would just say that some people were called Nephilim in memory of those pre-flood people, but not with any genetic connection to it. Again, I recognize that some people would think that’s not a very good answer. Again, that’s if someone’s Christian conscience permits them to commemorate Christmas; if not, that’s between them and the Lord, and I make no judgment upon them.
Almost half of Protestant pastors frequently hear members of their congregations repeating conspiracy theories about current events, according to a survey released last month by Lifeway Research, which is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention.

"They moved their military forces into the Middle East. The 38th chapter of the book of Ezekiel says that when the King of the north moves out of the north, I will bring you out of the north. Then we are getting ready to watch the Genesis of the Gog-Magog War." As part of the summit, attendees lobbied congressmen and senators for a day on Capitol Hill to stand with Israel. At the top of the list of legislation, they'd like to see passed is the Taylor Force Act, which calls for a halt of all U.S. taxpayer funding of the Palestinian Authority until they stop rewarding people for being terrorists. Only then, said Dr. Graham, will the misery turn to joy – after God close the books on human history and establishes Paradise on Earth. The problem, counsels Dr. Graham, is the period of trials and tribulations, of pestilence, plague and of world war, that we face before Christ returns.
This message comes from my strong spiritual convictions, and I humbly share it with you. The many prophecies concerning the restoration of Israel and Judah to Palestine to rebuild the temple in Jerusalem were fulfilled in their return from captivity in Babylon and in their coming to Christ in the church. There will be no signs of Christ’s coming at the end of the world.
I feel for believers who are troubled by this and are dealing with it in their own way. When the Bible uses the imagery of the cup of God’s wrath, of God’s wrath being poured out, it’s meant in a sense of it being completely delivered. So yes, obviously, the wrath of God is not a liquid. But it can be completely distributed or placed; it can be emptied upon a particular thing or person.

Darby's elaborate biblical prophecy interpretations emphasize both the singularity of the Jews and the magnitude of their error in rejecting Jesus. According to these interpretations, the promises made in the Bible to the people of Israel have been transferred to all those who believe in Jesus and the Jews can only be saved by publicly accepting Jesus as the Messiah. Although North is predicting havoc related to the Y2K computer bug, he does not connect that havoc to the imminent return of Jesus. His Reconstructionist belief is based on postmillenialism.
Mike’s teaching emphasizes growing in passion for Jesus through intimacy with God, doing evangelism and missions work from the place of night-and-day prayer, and the end times. He is the author of several books, includingGrowing in Prayer, Passion for Jesus, God’s Answer to the Growing Crisis,Growing in the Prophetic, andPrayers to Strengthen Your Inner Man. Mike and his wife, Diane, have two married sons and six grandchildren. Jeremiah prophesied that the Lord would give His people “perfect,” or mature, understanding of His end-time judgments against the Antichrist’s empire. In other words, He will raise up people who will gain mature understanding of His end-time plans as set forth in the Scripture. In the 4th dream I was standing in a room that God has taken me to to reveal a message to me.

He never tells us to live in fear, worry, or dread of what’s to come. But He does remind us to live aware, not to be surprised, to be wise and watchful. Despite the pressures, despite the impossibility of the natural mind's remaining undeceived, despite the subtle siren voices that sound-nevertheless, some will see through the distortions, the perversions of truth, the silken deceptions, and will stand true. The end referred to here is not the end of the age, for obviously, no one could live through the entire twenty centuries of this intervening age. These words of Jesus are often distorted to mean that if someone does his best to hang on and live a good clean life, then, if he endures to the end he will be saved. If he is truly saved, then he will endure to the end and the fact that he endures makes obvious to all that he is saved.
Clearly he is not predicting any one specific war, or revolution. It will be marked by continual turmoil among nations, and the fears, the alarms, the degradation, the horror, the misery, of war. His words telescope together all the effect that wars produce on the human heart. Jesus “warns us of the great evils and tribulations which are to come at the end of the world, and tells us of the signs which will precede His coming in judgment,” the Angel of the Apocalypse begins. He knew the Bible by heart and connected everything to Scripture.

The pandemic pushes individuals to reflect on the current social status quo. Old assumptions and ways of life are questioned leading to a new beginning. Like Darkness Coming the Book of Revelation, contemporary apocalyptic discourse is a critique of unequal power relationships and the uneven distribution of wealth in capitalism.
